The LEARN homeschoolers participated in an art class that involved using their bodies and color to create art. The work utilizes this technique. The darkened handprints of children collect together to form the lower part of the piece. They can represent the ground or hills. They also represent the innocent lives lost whenever there is a conflict in Afghanistan. An expressive splatter sunset descends upon the handprints. Within its spectrum float the ghostly shapes of shimmering detached kites. Above them the skies is turning to night and stars.
